Rude service advisors

I attempted to speak with a maria regarding why they were sending this letter to us. It appeared to be a credit issue. When i found out it was a pressured sales, and I wanted a manager, she asked "why have you not paid your debt off then" I called back and again I got a belligerent customer rep (Daniel)who was rude. I again asked for the manager and got a Ms. Cashaun Muse she was to get me information regarding the ceo of the company and when I asked she hung up on me. I do beleive this organization preys on people that are overloaded with debt and then use your ire against you.

Fake and dishonest organization

I called them to ask information, that is all, and I made it very clear. They have not stopped calling me since then, demanding and threatening calls. I reserached them and see all these complaints about how fake they are and I told them I do not want to go through with them, as I simply do not trust them. They kept calling saying well I didn't know, and that doesn't make since if you are an organization you communicate with each other. They are a big SCAM, they will steal from you, and I still cannot get them to stop calling me when I have told them so many times to please stop calling me, I am not interested and have asked them to stop, I don't know how else to make these people understand. DO NOT CALL THEM! They are theives!

Smooth talking salesman signed me up and kept my money

I received a letter in the mail. I called and let this smooth talking salesman convince me to join their program to reduce my credit card debts in half in 2 and a half years. He talked me into setting up an account that would take $267 a month out of my checking account the next day and once a month from then on. I changed my mind and called to cancel the program. They said OK but they would be keeping my $267 for their trouble. I had not even sent in the original signed forms yet. They only had computer generated signature forms.

You don't need to pay these people a 12% fee, plus 49.95 a month for 'maintenance costs'. They mislead consumers, especially the elderly and non-English speaking clients, that there will be no credit effects, no tax implications, even misleading foreign and elderly consumers to think that they are doing a consolidation.

Then by the time consumers are fully informed during a "Welcome Call" what the real 'program' is, it's past the 10 day cancellation window and they keep your first payment.

Do yourself a favor and work your situation out with your creditors. These people are rip-off artists preying upon the fears of consumers.

This company, parent company Landmark Management, changes their marketing name annually or 'by state' in order to re-market to consumers with a different name (American Debt Mediators, Credit Resolution Advisors, Credit Answers, Jensen Legal Group, Worden Law Firm etc. are all the same company) because they have burned their bridges so many times with consumers.

There is NOTHING this company can do for you that you can't do yourself with a little time. This (these) company requests that you to stop paying your bills, which opens you up to late fees, higher interest rates, and then litigation by creditors after a certain period of time, and will NOT represent you once you get sued. Contrary to what they tell you, they ARE NOT a law firm. There is no attorney looking out for you.

50-60% of their clients get sued by companies like Discover, Capital One, etc. It's a no-brainer that you can settle on your own with your creditors for 50-60 cents on the dollar after a certain period of delinquency, just like these people purport they can do.

That's Is false. You cannot sign into a debt mediation program & they take your payment the next day.

It takes 3 days.

Sorry your stuck in debt. :upset

what an abusive, condescending group of people. When called to find out why they are mailing out unsolicited, "pink urgent 2nd notices" they refuse to explain anything about themselves and how they got

your name / address.

this company should be investigated and charged if found to be a

scam.

Alright, an update of what's going on. So I fell for their premise.

Gave them a lot of info including important accounts until I've seen this and many other sites regarding their methods. So they debited some funds from my account. Of course, I freaked and called my bank etc. etc.

Next thing you know I get a call from them coming from Plano, TX. I tell them expect legal action. They apologized and I just got my funds returned to me.

So...I honestly don't know what's up but I do have to give them credit for returning my $$$. Just wanted to put that out there

ADM sure it's a scam! Can't trust anything that comes through the mail on a form letter with vague information, can't read the signature but they clearly have access to credit report information.

So hard to trust people these days! :(

I think it's a scam. I got the same letter with the same info as "mad"!!

:eek shock! Weird! Even if they helped 2(two) whole people/families, it seems kinda fishy. I have debt, it's the American way.

(lol) But it's in check and being managed properly. I'll keep tossing the letters and catalog.(?if you're in debt, why do they offer to sell you miscellaneous stuff??)If you already gave them your info, contact your financial institution right away. Maybe try working it out with your debtor(s) or find a company you feel totally comfortable with. I appreciate being able to see these comments and input my own.

Thank You! ..is there somewhere I could report this mail-harassment?

Hi Guys, Okay so I just fell for the scam trying to get out of credit card debt. But after reading all your comments.

I'm worried and not sure what to do. I gave them my info, signed some contract electronically. I'm supposed to get a call from them later today to talk about the settlement. Any suggestions what I can do??

I gave them my checking acct number because they claim that's how the monthly payment taken out.

Please help. I'm getting nervous about this whole thing.

Some people are very ignorant... The information does generate from your creditors..

Why be mad at a company that handles situations on a daily. We used them for my wife that co-signed on two different cars for her family and they were able to get the balances negotiated.. We owed about 26K total and was done with under 16k and 3 years later, those balances show paid.. Needless to say, my wife just purchased her new Camry..

And as far as the BBB, did you not see the CNN special on them... THEY ARE THE BIGGEST SCAM BY FAR..How do banks have 1,006,508,508 (over-exaggerated) unresolved complaints, but still get the A+ ratings?? Ever figured that one out? Like it was written before, if you don't need the help, throw the letters in the trash.

You can do it yourself, but how many of us actually can save the money?

I'm glad we used them..Still have other debt, but blessed to have that portion gone!! :)

I do NOT have a "credit card", I do NOT owe ANYONE for anything but I keep getting this *** by mail....OBVIOUSLY they have gotten my address from somewhere...BEWARE!!! SCAMMERS!!!!

when discussing this with ADM about their practices it was hard to get an answer as to who is in control. When asked who Chris Elliott is the response he was a "HR person.

Then Adam (if thats his real name) stated the Vice President is Mr Cato (when asked how to spell it Adam responded "I do not know."

I believe the BBB has them pegged when discussing this the young Man Adam sent me to a web site Dun & Brad street because as he put it "we do not pay to play." well this site you as the consumer have to pay to see the ratings, wouldn't a legit above board ethical company want to be transparent. In a nut shell this is A BUYER BEWARE

Guest

LOL. I just got an Activation 2nd notice.

Apparently the estimated program payment is ALWAYS $335!

And did you notice that the signature is illegible..... :x

Guest

Report them to ftc.gov. I just did!
